MATCH REPORT:
A very pleasing performance by both our men's sides on
Saturday against the Richmond FC. Both wins were critical to our season with the
Reserves eyeing off 2nd spot and the Seniors looking to keep in touch with the
4. It was a credit to our leaders and playing group for sticking to a plan they
all had input in on Tuesday Night at Training. Richmond are a proud and
successful footy club and we knew they would want to atone for their 48 point
loss to us 6 weeks ago.
Josh Fogarty did a wonderful Job at Full Back on Rat
Gilmour keeping him to two goals, Skipper Michael Booth took plenty of intercept
marks across halfback and set us up with his sublime foot skills, our midfield
all contributed by being disciplined and simply playing their role. Oliver
Fryett also kept the dangerous Koby Phillips to only a handful of possessions.
Up forward Josh Hall continued his rich vein of form with 6.3 and George Fitzgibbon and Nathan Hardy gave us the link through half forward we have been missing at times. Over all the game was super competitive and gave our boys the much needed belief we can win against the sides above us if we stick to our plans and have 22 players willing to sacrifice for the team.
We look forward to recharging
over the BYE this week and then taking on St Virgil’s at home on August 10th.
Ash Woodhead will play his 50th game for the TUFC
against the Saints – congrats.

MATCH REPORT:
Great effort by the Reserves led
by the backline who kept Richmond goaless after half time. Lukey B, Rip and
Ethan were busy on the wings and the onballers were hard at it. Tubby and the
other forwards finished the job and worked hard to keep the ball on the forward
line.
