Seniors - Second Half

It was a fairly dull day and not ideal for photographic masterpieces.

The committe had made a huge effort during the week to prepare for the game and the 300 Club function.

Richmond had ambushed Uni in the first quarter and led by 5 goals at the first break. Uni pegged one back by half time to trail by 4. Coach and ace goal kicker Alex Gilmour was absent for Richmond and Green, Reeves and Beams were welcome inclusions for Uni. Ruckmen Adams and Stride were huge outs for the home side.

Mastracola and Douglas punching the ball into attack.

Bielski was named in the best and booted three telling goals.

Mastracola called upon for ruck duties and Adams wins the stoppage.

Green is congratulated for his wonderful mark!! ... and boots one of his two goals.

Fogarty provided penetrating run from the backline and unfortunately his screamer wasn't recorded.

Reeves doing what he does best.

The crowd could sense an upset.

Coach Beams led the way.

Green and Pascoe show off their skills.

Mark and attempt at goal for Beams.

Ball was just a bit slippery for many fine marking attempts to stick.

Mastracola reaps the reward of some excellent pressure applied upfield.

Another leap from Green and King working hard in defense.

We can win this boys! Less than two goals down at the last break.

Douglas, Mastracola and Green determined not to let Richmond score.

No one leaving today!

Collis was named best for Uni.
Anderson was reliable as usual and had to ruch at times.

Goal to Green and only a kick in it!

Woodhead, Clark and Mastracola stood firm.

Reeves and Woodhead with scoring opportunities but no luck.

Goal to Palmer but still a lot to do to keep Richmond at bay

Bielski - Not this time but close.

Backline still under tremendous pressure.

Cuff brothers, Duncan Hall and Dean Cooper were among many who picked a good game to see.

Beams can see exactly where the Tom Arnold snap has gone!

Douglas above and Bielski below put the game beyond doubt.

Alberry with some dash and drive.
